Sherri Saum's definition of family is about to get a rewrite. The Fosters actress is pregnant and expecting twins, her rep announced in a statement on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
"The actress and her husband Kamar de los Reyes are so thrilled to welcome the little ones into the world in early summer," the statement said.
No word yet on how (or if) this will affect Saum's ABC Family show. The series stars the Rescue Me alum as Lena Foster, a school principal who agrees to foster a girl named Callie without talking it over with her longtime partner (played by Meet the Parents actress Teri Polo).
Saum, 39, has no other children. Married since 2007, she and de los Reyes split their time between New York City and L.A. She also volunteers with Kusewera, an organization that teaches children in Malawi, Africa.
