Richard Gere’s wife, Alejandra Silva, is reportedly pregnant, which means the actor is seemingly preparing to become a father again at 68 years old.
According to Spanish outlet ABC, which broke the news of Gere and Silva’s wedding in April, the 35-year-old Spanish publicist is pregnant.
Us Weekly confirmed on April 23 that the Pretty Woman star secretly wed Silva after more than three years of dating. The duo were first spotted getting cozy on the beach in Italy in June 2015.
“I have found the quiet and happy life that I have always sought,” Gere told HOLA! about his relationship in April.
The Nights in Rodanthe actor was previously married to supermodel Cindy Crawford from 1991 to 1995 and Carey Lowell from 2002 until their divorce was finalized in October 2016, nearly four years after they announced their split. Gere and Lowell share 18-year-old son Homer.
Gere was also linked to Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi for six months after his break up with Lowell.
This would be Silva’s second child. She shares a son named Albert with ex-husband Govind Friedland, whom she was married to from 2012 to 2015.
Silva opened up about her relationship with Gere to HOLA! in the past.
“I was a little lost, without light, and knowing him gave meaning to my life,” she told the outlet. “It was feeling that someone was reaching out and showing me my true path.”
