Pregnant Savannah Guthrie Reveals Second Baby’s Gender

Break out the blue balloons! Savannah Guthrie revealed Monday, September 26, that she and husband Michael Feldman are expecting a baby boy in December.

The Today show cohost, who is already mom of 2-year-old daughter Vale, announced her second child’s gender on the NBC morning show with a huge production as an airplane flew over Studio 1A with an “It’s a Boy!” aerial banner trailing behind it.

“I didn’t really want to make a big deal of this or anything,” Guthrie, 44, quipped before the official announcement. Moments later, she gushed, “We’re having a boy!” while sipping on a blue milkshake.

As for the TV journalist’s future son’s name? “That I’m not telling!” she said to her fellow cohosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker, Tamron Hall, Carson Daly, Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford.

Guthrie first announced she was pregnant again on the Today show in June. She later took to her blog to express how grateful she is to become a second-time mom in her midforties.

“When Vale was born, our happiness was complete. The thought of getting to add to our family now is beyond every hope, dream and prayer I have ever had,” she wrote June 7. “It is not simply double the joy — it is joy multiplied infinitely.”
