Praising her partner! Nikki Reed shares 20-month-old daughter, Bodhi, with Ian Somerhalder, but the couple still make time for successful careers — with each other’s help.
“I’ve always had many things that I feel incredibly passionate about, as does Ian,” the Twilight star, 30, told Us Weekly exclusively on Thursday, April 18. “We’re both really passionate people and we both have a lot going on all the time, so I think that being supportive of the other person’s dreams and aspirations and passions is important and it’s something that we practice.”
While the O.C. alum doesn’t know which parent Bodhi takes after — “Babies are born who they’re born” — she told Us how her daughter helps her to “appreciate the world in an even deeper way.”
“Seeing a child with all of their wonder and innocence and everything is so exciting and everything is so new,” the BaYou With Love creator said. “Watching a child with animals is so sweet and special, and watching a child look at a flower… One of the sweetest things in the world is watching a child smell something they’ve never smelled for the first time or see a bright pink rose that they’ve never seen before.”
Reed, who has become an advisor for Raised Real, a plant-based baby food delivery service that made a positive impact on her own life after it changed the way her daughter ate, added: “It’s just so exciting. You start looking at the world a little differently because of how they look at the world.”
The California native and the Vampire Diaries alum, 40, welcomed their baby girl in July 2017, two years after they tied the knot.
