Grandma’s blessing! Kris Jenner is happy that Khloé Kardashian named her baby girl True, and revealed the special history the name has in the Kardashian family.
“I’m so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!!” Jenner captioned a photo of pink balloons on Monday, April 16, shortly after Kardashian announced her newborn’s name. “FUN FACT… my Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton….my Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!! #lovebug #familytradition #family @true.”
Us Weekly confirmed that the Revenge Body host, 33, and Tristan Thompson welcomed their first child together on Thursday, April 12. Kardashian announced her baby girl’s name and arrival on Monday.
“Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE. Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!” the reality star wrote on her website. She also revealed that True weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21 inches at birth.
Kardashian’s fans, meanwhile, weren’t quite as enamored with the baby’s name. Many social media users were skeptical about the couple’s decision to name their daughter True amid reports that Thompson, 27, has been unfaithful to the Strong Looks Better Naked author.
After multiple outlets published footage of the basketball player getting too close to other women, Us Weekly confirmed on Friday, April 13, that Thompson has been cheating on Kardashian since at least November.
However, a source close to the new mom told Us on Monday that Kardashian is “willing to forgive” Thompson for his infidelity.
“Khloé knows Tristan cheated on her. She’s not dumb. He cannot deny it. There’s video, photos, so much evidence that he can’t deny it’s true,” the insider explained. “Khloé is the best, but we’re all flawed in our own ways and when she loves, she really loves unconditionally.”
