Grandma Lovey has arrived! Kris Jenner drove up to Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. early Sunday, Dec. 6, where she visited her daughter Kim Kardashian and newborn baby grandson.
The momager, 60, was photographed with a slight smile on her face as she drove up to the medical center — where her estranged son-in-law, Lamar Odom, also happens to be recovering after he was found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada this past October.
Kris is the second Kardashian family member to visit Kim and Kanye West, who welcomed their second child together on Saturday, Dec. 5. Khloe Kardashian tweeted from Cedars-Sinai on Saturday, Dec. 5, where she joked: “I know these hospital halls way too well. Hop[p]ing from one room to another.”
On Monday, Dec. 7, Kim and Kanye revealed that the baby boy’s name is Saint West.
As previously reported by Us, Kim wanted to deliver her baby before his Christmas due date. “He’s here!” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 35, tweeted early Saturday alongside a pic of her hands clutching her husband’s. On her website, the reality star wrote: “Kanye and I welcome our baby boy! Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well.”
The stars, however, have yet to determine a first name for their baby boy. But they have chosen a middle name that pays tribute to Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian. “I know they were doing Robert for the middle name in honor of her father,” an insider told Us.
The weekend before she gave birth, Kim underwent a painful procedure to turn her son from his breech position to headfirst. “I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an ECV (External Cephalic Version, or a Version), which is done to manually turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position. They gave me an IV with medication to relax my uterus, and then three doctors attempted to work together to turn the baby,” she shared on her website on Tuesday, Dec. 1. “There was a risk that my water might break or the baby’s heart rate could drop—in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place. I went in with my sisters and my husband. I was prepared for it all! They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth.”
Despite the risks, Kim was ready. “It worked!!! My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section,” she shared. “I’m so thankful for my doctors!”
