Her mini-me! Katie Holmes is smitten with daughter Suri. The Touch With Fire actress gushed about the 9-year-old during the Today show on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
The Dawson’s Creek alum — who welcomed Suri with her now ex-husband, Tom Cruise, in April 2006 — joined the NBC morning program to promote Giving Tuesday and her partnership with Glad to Give. The organization provides free Glad bags to help collect donations and gifts for underprivileged families and children. (Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back.)
“My little one is very, very generous and very sensitive. So she’s always [saying], ‘Mom, let’s give my old toys to people who need it,'” Holmes, 36, said. “So we are always doing that.”
There was no mention of her ex, but Holmes did say that the holiday season will consist of “a lot of family time.” (Cruise, 53, is currently filming the Jack Reacher sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, in New Orleans.)
Indeed, Holmes and Suri were surrounded by plenty of loved ones on Thanksgiving. The twosome spent time with Holmes’ relatives. “#foodcoma #familytime #love HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! #blessed,” the Ray Donovan star captioned an Instagram video at the time. She added in a photo: “Ready for some holiday karaoke #familytime #love #blessed #alliwantforchristmasisyou #silverbells.”
