Time for a trim? Chris Lopez had 2-year-old Lux’s long locks cut — and Kailyn Lowry reacted negatively to their 3-year-old’s new ‘do.
“Parenting with a narcissist be like,” the Teen Mom 2 star, 28, captioned “before” and “after” Instagram Story pictures of the back of her toddler’s head on Saturday, September 5. “Control tactic.”
The reality star went on to say in an Instagram Live video: “I’m just at a place where it’s like OK, you could f–k with me all you want. You can choke me, you can put your hands on me, you can burn my book on social media, you can cheat on me. Do whatever you want, right? But the second you do something to my child, I’m gonna come out of character because you’re using the child as a manipulation tool.”
Lopez also posted an Instagram Live video on Saturday sharing his side of the story. “I’ve been wanting to cut my son’s hair, so the fact that I cut off a little bit of his edges, she should be happy I didn’t f–king scalp his ass, all right?” he said at the time. “Let’s be [on] some real s—t. That’s my son, so if I decide to make a decision on my son or anybody, I can.”
Jenelle Evans seemingly chimed in on Monday, September 7, tweeting, “I would have cut that little boy’s hair too. [My mom], Barbara [Evans], agrees too.”
Lowry, who is also mom of Isaac, 10, Lincoln, 6, and Creed, 1 month, has previously defended Lux’s long hair.
“I’ll cut it when he tells me he wants to cut it,” the “Coffee Convos” podcast cohost tweeted in March 2018 when a troll said the little one looked like a girl. “But you can mind your business lil momma.”
The Hustle and Heart author told another troll six months later via Instagram: “I don’t tell people to tape your mouth shut cause you’re ignorant. Don’t tell me what to do with my children.”
