Jersey Shore: Family Vacation may air a ton of drama, but there are also a great deal of heart-to-hearts. During the Tuesday, April 12, episode, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino discussed season 4 of Jersey Shore that filmed in Italy, which included a ton of tension from all the cast mates. No one had known that Farley was going through a traumatic time.
“Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger [Mathews] actually lost a baby … not a lot of people know,” the reality star, 32, said. “They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life. The medication – it was like Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy. I was a f—king mess.”
Season 4 debuted in August 2011. Farley and husband Mathews welcomed their first child, a daughter named Meilani Alexandra, in 2014. In 2016, they welcomed a son, Greyson Valor.
When Farley found out she was pregnant with her first child, she revealed in a blog that she briefly thought she had miscarried. After taking multiple tests that showed faint lines, she had a scare. “I went to the bathroom, I saw blood and panicked. So many thoughts were running through my head. I felt a loss like no other when I thought that I was no longer pregnant,” she wrote at the time. “I whispered it to Roger and for that whole ride we just stared straight ahead and didn’t say a word. I went to bed that night in Nashville praying it was just a thing that happens.”
It turned out to be “just a thing” that happened, as she was indeed pregnant.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on MTV Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
