Jamie-Lynn Sigler isn’t due to give birth until the end of August, but she’s already looking forward to play dates and mommy groups with fellow first-time mothers JoAnna Garcia and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Both actresses recently welcomed baby girls into the world: Garcia and husband Nick Swisher had daughter Emerson Jay on May 21; Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum had Everly on May 31.
“I have a lot of girlfriends who are having babies or have just had babies, so I’ve been getting tons of advice from them, which is so helpful,” Sigler, 32, told Us Weekly at her Baby Buggy Shower at Sugar & Plumm on Wednesday, June 12. “It’ll be so fun to do mommy groups and things together and use each other’s experiences to learn.”
“I haven’t spoken to Jenna,” she continued, “but I know everything that happened in [JoAnna’s] birth, and I’m pretty sure she’ll be there when I give birth. She’s who I turn to for everything, especially baby stuff. She’s been a huge support.”
The actress, expecting a baby boy with fiance Cutter Dykstra, said her son will have plenty of support, too — not to mention companionship. “He’s going to have a little harem of princesses to choose from,” she quipped, referring to Garcia’s and Dewan-Tatum’s daughters. “It’s nice. We all joke about it.”
For now, though, Sigler is enjoying just being pregnant. “The whole process is so beautiful,” she told Us. “Going through the different stages and feeling the baby move — it really is a miracle.”
Her baseball player fiance isn’t too bad either. “He’s so good,” she gushed. “Anything I ask of him, he’ll do. I don’t get to see him much since he’s on the road, so whenever I’m with him, he’s so good about any massage or any food — anything. He’s the perfect partner.”
