Hilarie Burton and her husband, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, have welcomed their second child together, The Walking Dead star revealed on Twitter on Thursday, March 1. “Hey y’all … baby gal morgan is spectacular. We just respecting her wishes for laying low a bit longer,” Morgan wrote, confirming they now have a daughter. “But we super appreciate all the well wishes n stuff. Thank you. Xojdhilgusandbabygal.”
The One Tree Hill alum, 35, debuted her baby bump in September while attending the Primetime Emmy Awards in L.A. with her love.
Days later, the Walking Dead actor, 51, accidentally revealed the sex of their baby during a Q&A at a Supernatural convention in New Jersey. The star shared a photo a fan snapped of his shocked expression on his Instagram page.
“Whoever took this picture?? Caught a moment… thank you. We shall cherish,” he captioned via Instagram. “I texted @hilarieburton right after I spilled the little girl beans… and, as usual… she was a rockstar. After all these years she’s come to expect me to be a dope… thank god she gets it, and loves me regardless.”
The couple, who wed in 2014, are already parents to son Augustus, 7.
Shortly before welcoming their new addition, Morgan opened up exclusively to Us Weekly about becoming a dad for the second time while appearing at the Walking Dead season 8 premiere event in L.A. in October.
“I’m very excited. I think in my life, I think that being a dad is my favorite thing in the world, bar none,” he gushed.“So the opportunity to do it again, and maybe not screw it up as bad as I have already, that would be great.”
In addition to juggling two successful acting careers, Burton and Morgan co-own a candy store, Samuel’s Sweet Shop, with pal Paul Rudd, in Rhinebeck, New York.
