A picture perfect moment! Duchess Kate was met by the press on Monday, April 23, as she exited St. Mary’s Hospital in London with her third child, a baby boy, with Prince William.
St. Mary’s is the same hospital where Duchess Kate gave birth to Prince George, now 4, and Princess Charlotte, now 2. Parking restrictions were placed outside the private Lindo Wing on April 9 in anticipation of baby No. 3’s arrival.
Kensington Palace confirmed on Monday that Duchess Kate, 36, and Prince William, 35, welcomed baby No 3.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.,” the palace tweeted. “The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
The palace announced in September that the couple were expecting their third child together.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the statement read. “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
Duchess Kate, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are all expected to attend Prince Harry’s upcoming wedding to Meghan Markle on Saturday, May 19.
