Mamma mia! Celebrity chef Daphne Oz has her hands full. The mom of two, Philomena, 3, and John-John, 2, is expecting a third baby with husband John Jovanovic this winter. She recently stopped by Us Weekly to show us some of her essentials that she keeps in her oversized tote. Watch the above to see the latest in our “What’s In My Bag” series!
Excess Baggage
Instead of the typical diaper bag, Oz, 31, uses an oversized Yves Saint Laurent straw tote with leather trim. “The bag itself has to be super light because it is loaded up at all times,” she explained to Us. “When I had my first, I had the regular purse for me, and the diaper bag for her. It always had three diapers in it, it always had a fresh pack of wipes. And now, I feel like I’m lucky if I remember myself getting out the door!”
Toy Time
The busy mom pulls a Curious George tea set from her bag. “Honestly the only important thing is that you get one that’s not breakable!”
Snack Attack
The celebrity chef knows the importance of keeping food on hand at all times for her kiddos. She has partnered with Arla Foods, and loves to keep their cheese snacks in her bag. “My policy in life when it comes to eating well is to crowd out the bad options with good options!”
Mess-Free Makeup
“Both of my kids are obsessed with makeup. I obviously have my own makeup at the bottom of this bag, but I also make sure to keep my powder [for them]. The most important thing – if your kids love makeup – is that it’s not going to stain you or your clothing or their clothing.” She admitted, “You know we buy our kids all kinds of stuff and I find that it’s the free stuff or the cheap stuff that they end up loving the most.”
