Bumping along! Claire Danes showed off her pregnancy belly in a tight black tank top while out and about in New York City on Thursday, May 3.
The Homeland star, 39, was all smiles as she debuted her bump while strolling with a friend.
Danes revealed her pregnancy on April 18 during her visit to Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show. “I am pregnant. I’m seriously prego … I’m deep into my second trimester,” she announced at the time, noting that she and husband Hugh Dancy are keeping the gender private.
The Family Stone actress and The Path actor, 42, wed in 2009 and welcomed their son Cyrus, 5, in December 2012.
Us Weekly recently caught up with Danes’ Homeland costar Mandy Patinkin who opened up about working with the actress while she was pregnant. “I can keep any secret in the world,” he exclusively told Us at the the 2018 National Dance Institute Annual Gala in NYC on Monday, April 30. “[Claire] doesn’t even get tired when she’s pregnant. When she’s pregnant, she has more energy.”
Danes gushed about motherhood during an interview with Elle magazine in February 2013. “I’ve always wanted to have kids, but I’m glad I didn’t until now,” she explained at the time. “When I was thinking about [working and being a mother] originally, I was really nervous about it. I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mom. It just wouldn’t suit me. I feel so fortunate in that I’ve had this arrow-straight focus that I wanted to act.”
