Just winging it! Camila Alves may look like she has all the answers when it comes to parenthood, but admits she’s still trying to figure it all out. Watch the video above!
“People ask me all the time, ‘How do you do it?’” The mom of Levi, 9, Vida 8, and Livingston, 5, with husband Matthew McConaughey exclusively told Us Weekly. “I’m always like, ‘If you have the answer, please share with me because I’m also trying to figure it out.’”
However, Alves, 36, has made peace with mommy pressure and realizes that “no matter what, you’re going to feel guilty,” but “you can’t do it all.”
What the founder of Women of Today suggests is to make special time for your family — and for her, that means in the kitchen.
“We cook together. Even if I’m running late from work I say, ‘We’re having a late dinner,’” Alves told Us. “Does it happen every single day of the week? No, but it happens a lot.”
As for how she makes time with her Oscar-winning husband? Alves says that they both make an effort and remember that their relationship needs to be nourished … with staycations.
“[We do] a lot of staying at home, cooking together or getting a hotel room that is 10 minutes away from the house,” Alves told Us. “Just the fact that you don’t have to wake up to kids screaming for help with something — it already does something to a mom’s brain.”
