And another! Bachelorette alum Emily Maynard is pregnant for the third time. The reality star revealed the news during a new interview with Good Morning America that aired on Tuesday, March 1.
“I am pregnant again,” she said. “We didn’t think it would happen so quickly, but we’re so grateful and just feel so blessed and excited.”
This will be the second baby for Maynard and her husband, Tyler Johnson. The couple — who married at Johnson’s parents’ farm in South Carolina in June 2014 — welcomed baby boy Jennings last July.
The I Said Yes: My Story of Heartbreak, Redemption and True Love author is also the mom of daughter Ricki, 10, who she had with the late NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick. The athlete was killed in a plane crash in October 2004.
Maynard gave birth to Ricki following the tragedy. “For days after the crash, I wish I’d died, too,” Maynard told GMA. “[Ricki was] kind of my light at the end of the tunnel … I just kept on looking forward to June 29th because was the day I got a piece of Ricky back.”
Maynard is best known for starring in the ABC franchise in 2012. Although she recently slammed the show, she believes that it led her to Johnson.
“I would just be scared that if I didn’t do [the shows] maybe I wouldn’t have met Tyler and I wouldn’t be here,” she explained. “So I wouldn’t have changed anything.”
