“Every treatment is truly a custom experience and I might pull any number of techniques to help somebody find their best health,” Dr. Auth tells Us Weekly.

The main wellness concern that clients come to her with is reducing stress, the certified acupuncturist says. “I would definitely say that everybody needs to find peace. Everyone needs to relax. Everyone needs that escape out of their day, out of their lives, to just find a meditative place,” the healer, who has trained in Thailand, India, Peru, China and Japan, adds.

Dr. Auth’s practice, within Modrn Sanctuary in NYC’s Nomad neighborhood, primarily focuses on acupuncture, which is when tiny needles are placed superficially in the skin to help release tension as well as promote healing. “It really helps you find that meditative place. It’s really good for busy people and I practice in the center of New York City, so I have nonstop busy people coming through my door all the time that are juggling the myriad of things that we juggle: kids, jobs, families — everything,” she shares with Us. “It’s a moment of peace for them and a moment for their bodies to come into balance.”

Wilde, 34, has called acupuncture with Dr. Auth “essential.” According to the expert’s website, the mom of two notes, “I rely on acupuncture to heal my body faster and help my mind relax.” Meanwhile, Akerman, 40, credits the wellness guru’s treatments with keeping her healthy, sharing this testimonial with Dr. Auth: “Acupuncture and herbal tonics from Dr. Shari Auth grounds me and restores my energy.”

In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Auth uses cupping, an ancient Chinese medicine technique in which heated cups are placed on skin to increase energy flow to the area. “Cupping is good for pain, the tail end of a cold and for detox,” she explains. “People get addicted to cupping. People love cupping. I constantly hear my clients say, ‘I just feel like this is getting all the bad stuff out.’ And even though the painless treatment leaves bruise-like marks behind, “Nobody cares. It’s like a badge of honor.”

To help her clients like the Billions and Vinyl actresses feel good, Dr. Auth says that tapping into her intuition then channeling her energy to help heal them is often key. “I find that a lot of times there is an emotional or spiritual component to healing that needs to be addressed and when that’s the case, I go there, and I think it works out great for everybody,” the certified shaman tells Us. “As a practitioner, you’re intuitive and you pick up on the job that needs to be done and your job is just to do it and everybody leaves happy.”
