The Hills: New Beginnings star Carter was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and she graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2010, where she majored in English.

After college, she launched the now-inactive fashion lifestyle blog Hey, Miss Carter, and developed a strong social media following, which led to partnerships with several high-profile brands, including American Eagle and UGG Australia.

Carter turned her passion for fashion into a thriving business in 2015, teaming up with longtime pal Tiana Haraguchi to launch Foray. The company aims to shine a light on emerging and undiscovered brands.

Carter began dating Brody Jenner in 2014. They got engaged in May 2016, tying the knot two years later before family and loved ones in Indonesia. A source told Us Weekly at the time that their marriage was never legalized as they didn’t obtain a marriage license in the U.S.

The pair announced their split in August 2019 and weeks later, Carter was spotted kissing Miley Cyrus while they vacationed in Italy. Carter and Cyrus split in September 2019 after only a month of dating.
