Jordan Chiles

Jordan Chiles is an American gymnast who was part of the 2020 Olympic silver-medal team and the 2024 gold-medal team. named after Michael Jordan by her father, she grew up in Vancouver, Washington, and later moved to Spring, Texas, to train with Simone Biles.

Chiles debuted at the 2013 American Classic, winning and all-around bronze behind Laurie Hernandez, and joined the Junior National Team. She made her international debut at the 2014 City of Jesolo Trophy, winning gold.

After the 2021 Olympics, Chiles attended UCLA and became the first Women’s all-around Winter Cup champion. She also placed second at the U.S. Classic and third at the National Championships, leading to her selection for the Olympic Trials.

In the 2024 Olympics, Chiles initially placed fourth un the floor exercise final, but an appeal by her coach led to a score adjustment, moving her to third place. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport later ruled the appeal invalid, as it was submitted four seconds late, displacing Chiles from the medal standings.
