Ready for No. 2! Kanye West has revealed that he and wife Kim Kardashian are ready to welcome their baby into the world "any day now."
Despite the fact that Kardashian is still a couple of weeks from her due date, the excited dad-to-be made the remarks during his acceptance speech for his Shoe of the Year award at the Footwear News 29th Annual Achievement Awards on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
"I'm waiting on my son to arrive any day now," West, 38, announced, "and I look at my daughter and I look at my wife and she’s rich and I don’t plan on being broke,” he joked.
It's not been an easy pregnancy for his 35-year-old wife, who endured a painful procedure earlier this week to turn her little tot, so he'd no longer be breech.
Writing a blog post entitled "Baby West Update: All Turned Around," the future mom-of-two explained how doctors were able to encourage her baby to turn around, ready for delivery.
"There was a risk that my water might break or the baby's heart rate could drop — in which case, an emergency C-section would then take place," she revealed, adding that her sister and her husband were with her at the hospital just in case.
As it turned out the procedure, known as an ECV, went according to plan..
"They don't give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth," Kardashian said, adding that it was worth it. "My baby is in the right position and it feels so good to not have the stress of thinking I need a C-section," she said. "I'm so thankful for my doctors!"
