It’s a boy! Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee announced the birth of her first child, a son, with husband Ben Aaron, on Sunday, December 20.
“He’s here!” the ABC chief meteorologist, 34, captioned an Instagram snap with her NBC correspondent husband, holding their little bundle of joy. “Adrian Benjamin. We are all doing great and inundated with love.”
Zee gave birth to her son at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, in NYC, according to Good Morning America. The baby weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long. This is the first child for the happy couple, who revealed the sex of their baby during a Good Morning America segment in July.
“We are elated to have the opportunity to be parents,” Zee said at the time.
Last week, the TV personality shared a cute picture of the baby’s nursery, in anticipation of her due date.
“Sat in the nursery today just dreaming,” she captioned a snap on December 13 that showed a shelf filled with popular children’s books. “Can’t believe he will be here in less than two weeks!”
Zee announced her pregnancy in June on Good Morning America.
“This is the most nervous I’ve been in a while!” she told viewers at the time.
Aaron and Zee married in June 2014 in a beachside wedding in Michigan.
