Gaga glam! After wowing at the Emmys in September 2015, Lady Gaga stunned in an Old Hollywood-inspired look at the 73rd Golden Globes on Sunday, January 10, in L.A.
From her head to her toes, the Golden Globe-winning American Horror Story: Hotel actress embodied the retro style. Her short blonde bob was styled into Marilyn Monroe-esque curls while her curves were out-of-control in the Atelier Versace Gown. But it was her wing-tipped eye and nude lip that pulled the entire look together.
The beauty inspiration? Sophia Loren, of course. “I focused on Loren's eye and brow to compliment [Gaga’s] iconic dress,” Sarah Tanno, the celebrity makeup artist behind the look, tells Us Weekly exclusively.
Find out how to copy Gaga’s look in five simple steps, below.
1. After moisturizing with Giorgio Armani Prima Glow-on Moisturizing Balm, Tanno applied foundation, concealer and bronzer.
2. Tanno put a metallic navy spin on the classic Sophia Loren cat eye, starting with a “neutral wash of Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill,” followed by Lancome Le Stylo Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner.
3. She then rimmed Gaga’s waterline with white eyeliner and topped off the lash line with Lancome’s Drama Liquid Pencil in Parisian Night.
4. Next, she added Lancome Grandiose Mascara in Noir Mirifique and added false mink lashes.
5. After the eyes and face were set, Tanno began working on the lips with a trio of lacquers: a nude coloring stick, a matte lip color, and a nourishing balm.
