No, it isn’t true! Kate Winslet has admitted after nearly 20 years that her Titanic character, Rose, left Leonardo DiCaprio‘s Jack Dawson to drown by hogging the broken bit of door that floated in the ocean!
The Oscar-winning actress sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to talk awards ceremonies on Monday, February 1, and revealed she feels a little guilty when she thinks about the way her character pretty much caused Jack’s demise.
“I think he could have actually fitted on that bit of door,” the British actress admitted, adding that she and DiCaprio are still blown away by how excited their fans are when they get together, like they did at this weekend’s SAG Awards.

“People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which at the end of the day, that’s so lovely,” the Steve Jobs star told her host. “It’s been 20 years, and people still get such a kick out of it. It’s really quite endearing. And we do laugh about it. We were giggling about it last night. People still get so overwhelmed with the Jack and Rose thing,” she said.
On the topic of the 2016 SAG Awards, Winslet revealed she used the occasion to get her hands on some of the best bodies in Hollywood.
When Kimmel asked her what she was doing in one particular photograph where she appears to have her hands on Susan Sarandon‘s cleavage, the unremorseful 40-year-old was frank.
“I can tell you I’m feeling Susan Sarandon’s tits,” she replied.
“Did you ask first?” enquired Kimmel.
“Of course not. I think I may have felt Kristen Wiig‘s butt too,” she added cheekily.
