Plot twist! On the Monday, February 8, episode of The Bachelor, Ben Higgins sent two contestants packing before the rose ceremony: Regina George wannabe Olivia Caridi and girl-you-never-heard-of-until-now Leah Block.
Leah, in an attempt to out-villain Olivia, tried throwing frontrunner Lauren Bushnell under the bus, telling Ben that the flight attendant wasn’t on the show for the right reasons. But Ben wasn’t having it. When Leah snuck into his suite for more one-on-one time, the Denver resident shockingly decided to cut ties. “Something just doesn’t feel right,” Ben, 27, said. “I think it’s best for us just to kinda say goodbye.”
Later, on his two-on-one date with Olivia and twin Emily Ferguson, Higgins once again surprised viewers (and Emily!) and broke up with Olivia mid-date.
But why didn’t Ben wait until the rose ceremony to send the girls home? Was it a spur-of-the-moment decision? Do the girls feel blindsided?
Deadpool actor Hugh Scott sat down with Us Weekly Video to discuss the contestants’ reactions and what’s to come on the most dramatic season yet.
