McKinnon, who won Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Saturday Night Live, chatted with Lemon at HBO's event. Earlier in the night, McKinnon told reporters that playing Hillary Clinton on SNL was "the greatest honor of my life and the greatest role I’ve gotten to play.”
The best supporting actress in a comedy series nominee was all smiles at HBO's party. Earlier in the night, the Veep actress "was telling Sarah Paulson how great she looked," an eyewitness tells Us, adding that Paulson, who was also in a sequined silver dress, joked that Chlumsky "got the memo about wearing sparkles!”
The This Is Us costars kept the night going at FOX Broadcasting Company, Twentieth Century Fox Television, FX And National Geographic 69th Primetime Emmy Awards After Party at Vibiana. During the ceremony, both actors were disappointed to see costar Sterling K. Brown's best actor in a drama victory speech cut short. "I think it’s unfortunate. I haven’t had a chance to ask him what the remaining was, but I read his mouth pretty well," Ventimiglia told Us. "I think he was talking about his loved ones. I’m so proud and excited for him to be on that stage." An eyewitness tells Us that Metz "shook her head in frustration" when producers cut Brown's mic and yelled, "Boo!”
During the Primetime Emmy Awards Governors Ball, the onscreen This Is Us spouses bonded with their real-life loves. "Mandy and her fiancé [Taylor Goldsmith] were sitting next to Milo and his girlfriend [Kelly Egarian] while eating," an eyewitness told Us. “*Mandy was clapping and laughing at their conversation.”
