The feels of a Friend. Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston was captured getting uber emotional from her seat during the filming of NBC’s special tribute to TV director James Burrows, which aired on Sunday, February 21.
Aniston, 47, was clearly moved during the beloved TV director’s speech, delivered last month inside West Hollywood hot spot Sunset Tower. Photos showed the star picking up a napkin to gently dab at her tear-filled eyes, while Matt LeBlanc, seated to her right, listened to Burrows with a proud smile.
The honoree of the evening, 75, directed 15 episodes of the smash ’90s sitcom including the pilot. Evidently, he played a pivotal role in launching the careers of Aniston (Rachel), LeBlanc (Joey), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), David Schwimmer (Ross) and Matthew Perry (Chandler).
“We would do anything for Jim Burrows because he really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime,” Aniston gushed to the program’s host, Andy Cohen. “We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies, everything, together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well.”
The actress also revealed some of her favorite moments from the show. “I always loved the flashbacks,” Aniston divulged. “I always loved when we would flashback to fat Monica and Rachel, pre-nose job, and Ross with his Afro.”
“He taught us everything we know about comedy,” Aniston concluded.
