No more misery! Gwen Stefani is head over heels for Blake Shelton — just ask her. The “Used to Love You” singer revealed during a recent interview that she’s “for sure” in love with the country superstar, but would rather not discuss him.
“I don’t really want to go into that relationship,” Stefani, 46, told Vanity Fair, “and God knows what’s going to happen.” See more photos of the adorable couple here.
Us Weekly broke the news in November that Stefani and Shelton, 39, were dating. The relationship, which followed their divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively, inspired a lot of songs on her new album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like.
“I feel like I’m in an amazing songwriting place; instead of being closed off, I’m thinking about positivity and how I can do something creative. I’m just doing what I want to do,” she continued. “It’s so incredible to be in that zone. I’m always looking for the next song, and now I don’t have to be insecure or write about heartache.”
The new music also delves into her relationship with Rossdale. As Us exclusively revealed, the Bush frontman, 50, cheated on Stefani with their children’s nanny Mindy Mann. The ex-couple’s former employee is now pregnant and expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Spencer Gutcheon.
“I think my spiritual journey is to have had these weird relationships and write music that people can somehow relate to,” Stefani added to VF. “I’ve never had a record that is almost all about being happy and in love.”
Last month, Stefani revealed that she’s only had two boyfriends in her life, most likely referring to past beaus Rossdale and No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal. (Stefani and Kanal dated for seven years.)
“You have to understand where I came from. My parents fell in love in high school, and I grew up in a very conservative home — family was sacred,” Stefani told VF. “When I met Tony I was only 17, and I instantly was obsessed. It was the only relationship I had really ever had. And when we broke up, I met Gavin. I was so naïve; I never even lived with a guy.”
