Where has this been all our lives?!
Rihanna just inked a deal with LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Kendo division, estimated as high as $10 million, for a makeup collection, according to WWD.
The line, titled Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, will launch in fall 2017.
“Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” David Suliteanu, CEO of Kendo, the division behind Kat Von D Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty, told WWD. “We are aiming for the stars.”
Ri’s makeup line is yet another addition to her expanding fashion and beauty empire — she was announced as a brand ambassador and woman’s creative director for Puma last year, and has released two Fenty by Rihanna sneakers (with furry slides on the way).
While no other details have been teased just yet, Fenty Beauty will likely be another chart-topper for the “Work” singer. In 2013, the highly coveted RiRi Woo lipstick from her Riri Hearts MAC collection sold out in just three hours. And WWD reported that in 2015, she raised $46,000 for RiRi, one of her seven fragrances, during a promo appearance in Brooklyn.
