No makeup, no problem! Daisy Ridley took to Instagram to share a selfie without makeup, thanking her fans for their support on Tuesday, May 10.
The Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress, 24, first shared a shot of herself all dolled up for the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty on February 28, writing, "ALMOST 2 MILLION FOLLOWERS WHAT?! I'm currently sat writing an essay covered in spot cream drinking mint tea but no one wants to see that so instead here's me looking all fancy pants at the post Oscars Vanity Fair pardeeeee! 🙈🙈🙈👻👻👻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻."

But after some consideration, Ridley decided to go ahead and upload a photo of herself exactly as she was in the moment, zit treatment and all. "ACTUALLY why not!" she captioned the second shot, in which she's makeup free, wearing glasses and half hiding behind a tea mug. "#istillputafilteronit #spotcreamwin #hidingmostofmyface #igotthismugfromtheellenshowanditismassiveandamazing #kobekobekobe."
Her latest selfie follows up an inspiring post from April 18, when Ridley 'grammed a glam selfie from her Snapchat that was clearly altered. She overlaid the image with the Beyoncé lyric "I woke up like this #nofilter #nomakeup."

Accompanying the shot was an empowering caption. "[All] 3 of these statements aren't true.… Social media is great but also a bit scary cause what people post is the most filtered, most carefully chosen and cleverly edited moments of their lives," she began. "And self esteem is a huge issue for people around the world."
Ridley even revealed the types of things she too struggles with — including blemishes and working out. "My skin isn't great so I don't post no makeup selfies, much as I'd like to. I have a trainer urging me on in workouts and don't include all the times I say 'I can't do it' and I don't smile all the time but I like to share the pictures where I am," she explained. "But I actually do love myself, I try to think good thoughts always and am surrounded by the most wonderful people, so I'm keeping it balanced (like the Force, obvs). Just thought I'd say :)"
