Sign the contract, LC! A movie adaptation of the MTV hit The Hills may be in the works, Entertainment Weekly reports. The only catch? The probability of a reunion likely depends, at least in part, on whether the show’s leading lady, Lauren Conrad, comes on board.
According to EW, the reality star turned fashion designer hasn’t shown much interest in the potential project. But costars Kristin Cavallari, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge have reportedly been approached and are considering the idea.
Per EW, if the stars align, the flick would tentatively begin with Patridge’s wedding in Australia. (The star, engaged to BMX biker Corey Bohan, told Us Weekly exclusively in December 2015 that the couple are expecting their first child together.) The nostalgia-filled movie would then give an update on the rest of the cast.
As previously reported, MTV recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Hills, which ran from 2006 to 2010. The fan favorite show was a spinoff of Laguna Beach. Several cast members, including Conrad, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, recently reflected on the show for Us Weekly’s May 30 cover story.
Conrad may be weighing her options, but she is teaming up with MTV in some capacity. Earlier this week, the New York Times bestselling author revealed that she is filming a Hills anniversary special, which will premiere in August.
