A hot man and a good cause. Scott Eastwood is working with Davidoff Cool Water to help improve the quality of the world’s water. In a video that the brand is sharing exclusively with Us Weekly, the actor explains how he’s hoping the collaboration will bring awareness to ocean conservation.
The Suicide Squad actor, 30, who is also a brand ambassador for Davidoff, is working with the fragrance company’s efforts to support National Geographic‘s Love the Ocean campaign. “Ocean conservation is really important to me because I live by it and see it on a daily basis,” Eastwood says in the clip. “Plastic and trash — that’s where they end up. … The ocean is a giver of life. We can’t ignore this problem.”
Clad in a skintight wetsuit, Eastwood helps clear the shoreline of beer cans, discarded plastic and other trash with California students and other local conservationists. He explains how you can help too. “Seeing the damage that all this pollution [and litter] has caused really makes me want to get out there and make a difference,” Eastwood, who is the son of famed actor-director Clint Eastwood, says in the video. “Every bottle of Davidoff Cool Water that you buy, it helps protect 10,000 square meters of ocean.”
Buying fragrance isn’t the only way to help. You can meet the Fast 8 actor and help the ocean at the same time by attending a clean-up session on Sunday, July 10, in San Diego. For more information on Eastwood’s campaign and local conservation efforts, visit Love-the-Ocean.com.
