It wasn’t in the cards. Jen Saviano alluded to her breakup with Nick Viall after part 1 of the Bachelor in Paradise season 3 finale that aired Monday, September 5.
Although viewers have seen previews of Viall looking at engagement rings for Saviano, the Milwaukee native was recently announced as the season 21 Bachelor, meaning that things with Saviano ultimately didn’t work out.
During Monday’s episode, the pair went to a carnival and sat down with a fortune teller, who read their cards. Saviano asked her, “Do you think we’re good together?”
After choosing cards, the fortune teller told Saviano that their relationship would have a rough beginning. “If you don’t get the results you want, it’s probably because you give more than what you receive, so watch out. That’s not good,” the soothsayer said. She also described Viall as hesitant when she examined a card that showed a man with one foot in and one foot out. While the fortune teller expressed her doubts about the relationship, she didn’t actually predict a full-on breakup.
“Too bad that fortune teller couldn’t predict the future #BachelorInParadise,” the small business owner tweeted.
Right after Viall’s Bachelor gig was revealed, Saviano tweeted a GIF of Amy Schumer chugging from a massive glass of wine. “About that,” she captioned the clip.
Part two of Bachelor in Paradise’s season 3 finale airs on ABC Tuesday, September 6, at 8 p.m. ET. The Bachelor returns to ABC in early 2017.
