Nothing Strange about it! If you’ve noticed that Millie Bobby Brown, Stranger Things’ adorable Eleven, looks and dresses a whole lot like her famous costar Winona Ryder, you certainly aren’t alone.
When asked if her ’90s ensemble at Coach’s New York Fashion Week show was inspired by Ryder, 44, the 12-year-old actress told Us at BAFTA’s annual TV Tea Party, “No! Not at all.” But, she added of her front-row companion, “I just think we’re secretly doppelgängers.”
The pint-size British beauty went on to explain just what she loves about the ’90s icon’s style. “It’s quite like Coach, actually,” Brown (clad in Burberry for the fete) said. “[Her style is] very feminine, but it has that edge to it, that homeboy side to it, which I am like, anyway.”
While Brown has waxed at length about how much she admires Ryder as an actress, she also confessed that she’s no longer starstruck by her. “I mean, me and Winona are very good friends anyway, so it’s not like she’s like a celebrity to me any more,” she told Us, acknowledging how affectionate they were with one another at Coach. “She’s one of my very good friends.”
Not that she’s in short supply! Brown has been charming people everywhere with her YouTube singing videos and her late-night TV appearances. (Just watch her rap Nicki Minaj‘s “Monster.”) Plus, she has her BFF costars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, who joined her at the 2016 Emmy Awards. After walking the red carpet together, the trio performed “Uptown Funk,” then passed out PB&J’s during a commercial break, much to the delight of the audience.
