Slow down! The Monday, November 7, episode of NBC’s The Voice crammed 20 singers into two hours and eliminated eight (!) people to create the final 12 for next week. Sure, the show had to hustle because the election is tomorrow, but judges could barely get a word in and had to make last-minute decisions on who to save, which was just too much for many viewers. Aren’t Miley Cyrus‘s craziness and Blake Shelton’s snide comments the entire reason for watching the show?
Fans on Twitter were not happy to see their favorites go and even more angry that they were barely given time to mourn the departures. This live-playoffs episode stressed Us out almost as much as Tuesday’s presidential election!
Too fast!
Team Alicia Keys had to say goodbye to Kylie Rothfield and Josh Halverson, which many fans were extremely upset about. Alicia was obviously having a tough time making quick decisions in her first live show, but who wouldn’t? The teams needed a chance to chill out.
Blake struggled with who to save and even agreed with fans, saying everything was happening “too fast.” Team Blake ended up losing Jason Warrior and Dana Harper.
Stressed out
From Team Miley, Sophia Urista and Belle Jewel didn’t make it to the top 12. Miley made sure to tell the crowd she was making her own decision because she doesn’t “listen to what people tell her to do,” but ended up picking Darby, the crowd favorite.
Team Adam Levine was undoubtedly the most tense, but in the end, Simone Gundy and Riley Elmore were voted off at the last second. Adam was obviously under pressure for having to make such a hasty decision but found time to take out his anxiety on Blake by calling him a “ding-dong” once in the two-hour period. The entire show seemed rushed and a bit disorganized, and devout Voice fans on Twitter definitely took notice.

The hell is this live voting crap? Shouldn’t people wait until they’ve heard everyone sing before voting? :l #VoicePlayoffs #TheVoice
