Ooh, baby, baby! Beyoncé went back to the ’80 for her epic Halloween costume, and re-created Salt-N-Pepa’s iconic “Push It” look.
As usual, Queen Bey went all out with her costume and got her adorable 4-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and mom Tina Lawson on board too.
The threesome pulled off the impressive transformation, which Beyoncé documented with a photo and video montage on Instagram Saturday, October 29.
Decked out in a red Lycra catsuit, an MCM Belt Bag, gold chains, and sporting Pepa’s asymmetric bob, the 35-year-old struck a pose with her little girl and her mom before they hit up her cousin Angie Beyince’s ’80 and ’90–themed party.
Hubby Jay Z was along for the ride too, wearing a pair of flip-up sunglasses, dressed as the character Dwayne Wayne from the show A Different World.
The bash was a success according to Beyoncé’s mama, who told her Instagram fans she’d “danced all night!! great party, but my feet hurt.”
Beyoncé’s costume got the seal of approval from Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton, from the original band, who tweeted her support saying “she killed it.”
The Knowles-Carter family are clearly fans of the ’80s. Last year they threw it back to the era too and dressed as characters from Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America.
We can’t wait to see if Beyoncé comes up with something else for Halloween night itself.
