Straight from the source himself! Gilmore Girls fans have been poring over the final scene of the Netflix revival ever since the four new episodes launched last month. But is it possible that the mysterious conversation between Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is not so mysterious after all? (Spoilers ahead!)
Fans have offered no shortage of guesses after Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life‘s “Fall” episode revealed that Rory is pregnant. Devotees instantly began rooting for the guy of their choice to be the father, but whether you’re Team Jess, Team Logan or have any other theory in mind, it would do Us all some good to pay attention to Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger), who knows something we don’t. In fact, it might just be possible that Czuchry’s loose lips validate the theory that Logan better start learning how to make bottles and change diapers!
The actor recently revealed at the AOL Build Series event that the show’s executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino “did tell me who is the father of that baby.” Uh, care to share?! Sadly, he didn’t give more details, only clarifying, “They did tell me that — I do know the answer.”
The Good Wife alum, 39, further explained that if viewers ultimately learn who the father is, it won’t be because he himself spilled the beans. “If [the writers] ever want to reveal that, they can do that,” Czuchry said.
He continued, “But at this particular point, I think the [final scene’s] purpose is … to fast-forward and say, ‘What kind of mother would Rory be, what kind of grandmother would Lorelai be [and], in terms of whoever the father is, would they be in that person’s life where it would be different from Christopher, or would it mirror that completely?’ Those stories aren’t told yet.”
So what are we to make of the fact that Czuchry knows who the father is? It’s a bit hard to imagine why the actor would have been given this insider information about who the father of Rory’s baby is if it isn’t his character. And clearly, plenty of fans are convinced that Logan has to be the dad. The plot thickens.

Apparently he can’t reveal who’s the baby’s father. So he’s talking about it like the baby is not Logan’s…. #gilmoregirls
