So meta! A totally flattered Jessica Simpson hilariously reacted to Christie Brinkley‘s praise for her Halloween costume on Monday, Nov. 2.
Simpson, 35, dressed up for Halloween as Brinkley’s bombshell character from 1983 classic National Lampoon’s Vacation, while her husband, Eric Johnson, tackled the role of Chevy Chase.
On Sunday, an impressed Brinkley posted a photo of Simpson and her husband in costume, and gushed about the idea. “How cute is this? Our National Lampoon was lampooned to PERFECTION !” the supermodel, 61, wrote. “You guys look Hot and Hilarious !!!”
Simpson naturally oozed sex appeal in her original photo, in which she wore a tiny white men’s dress shirt and sported Brinkley-esque blonde tresses. Her husband, meanwhile, did his best impression of the Griswold patriarch with red glasses and a perfect side-part.

Super excited that the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl had responded to her costume, Simpson then screen-grabbed Brinkley’s reaction on Monday and posted it on her page. “OMG @christiebrinkley,” Simpson wrote. “You just made my husband cream his jeans!!! #nationallampoonsvacation.”
