With him always. Bobby Brown spoke out about his late daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, while attending the recent Circle of Sisters Expo 2015 at the Javits Center in NYC.
“I’ve gained another angel to carry me through. I’m really blessed with my children and everything that I have to do is about that,” Brown, 46, told WBLS’ Déjà Vu.
“It’s about love,” he continued. “I have a lot of love around me and have a lot of love that I give. It’s about that.”
As previously reported, Bobbi Kristina, Brown’s daughter with the late Whitney Houston, died at the age of 22 in July after months in a coma. She was initially found unconscious in a bathtub on Jan. 31, eerily similar to how Houston was found dead in 2012. Following Bobbi Kristina’s death, Bobby signed a book deal, which he says has become therapeutic for him.
“We’ve been working hard on it and I’m just trying to get all the cobwebs out and trying to be as honest as possible,” Brown told Déjà Vu. (His memoir, My Prerogative, will hit shelves in June 2016.)
“My story is really deep, but it’s funny and it’s a whole bunch of things. You can find humor in it. I can because I lived it. But you can also find some sad parts and some crazy parts, but at the same time it’s still Bobby,” he added. “From my memoirs I’m doing a script for my movie, so hopefully you’ll see me on the screen really soon.”
Brown may be focusing on his career, but Bobbi Kristina’s case is far from over. Last month, Brown and his lawyer, Christopher Brown, released a statement claiming that Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was to blame for her death. Court documents also reveal that Gordon is being accused of injecting Bobbi Kristina with a fatal “toxic mixture.”
