‘Tis the season… for spookiness. A woman in Ireland named Ashy Murphy claims to have filmed a poltergeist causing paranormal activity inside her home, as evidenced in several scary new Facebook videos that have since gone viral.
“Ye think he have problems,” Murphy wrote on Facebook, alongside the first video. “I’m down in the middle of no where with this happening to me wtf.” The clip featured above shows the cabinets in Murphy’s kitchen swinging open and slamming shut moments later — completely on their own, no humans in sight.
While the first video has garnered a million-plus views on the social network, her follow-up clip is way scarier than the first. “Its getting way worse I defo have to move house,” Murphy captioned the next capture of the suspected spooky visitor.

The second clip, which has amassed more than 11 million-plus views, shows her ceiling light spinning and rocking back and forth — again without any help. Then, all of a sudden, in the back corner of her kitchen, a broom rattles. Suddenly, a pan loudly clangs on the counter, and a large red basket located beneath it comes flying at the phone camera.
While some viewers expressed extreme skepticism, others voiced that similar happenings have happened to them. “Have you tried asking a vicar to spread holy water in the house? Worked for my mum! No harm in trying,” one woman wrote, while another added: “Your one brave girl I couldn’t stay there at all.”
