That’s one big pad! And iPhone! And pencil! Apple introduced several brand-new gadgets during its media event on Sept. 9, in San Francisco, Calif., including the iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, and Apple Pencil.
The tech giant first revealed the newest member of its innovative family: a big-screen iPad. The device, known as the iPad Pro, that is said to be the “most powerful iOS device” ever to be released by Apple, Phil Schiller, the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple Inc., told reporters.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, meanwhile, called the revelation “the biggest news for the iPad since the iPad.”
The brand-new device boasts of features like a 12.9-inch screen, and an impressive resolution of 2732 X 2048. It will include four speakers, a front and rear camera, and a battery life of… (wait for it!) 10 hours. It will also include a Lightning port, headphone jack, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, and side buttons.
According to Schiller, those aren’t the only benefits teased about the new device. The iPad Pro will also be 1.8 times faster than the iPad Air 2. The new iPad Pro can also be accessorized with cool additions, including the Apple Pencil (a stylus) at $99 and a keyboard that will set fans back $169. The iPad Pro will be available in November, starting at $799 for 32GB, $949 for 64GB, and $1,079 for 128GB.
