Summertime is for camp! Kristin Cavallari‘s sons Camden and Jaxon visited Jay Cutler at the Chicago Bears minicamp on Wednesday, June 17, where the boys watched their quarterback dad play football from the sidelines.
“Got to watch daddy practice today,” the pregnant-again Hills alum wrote, alongside a photo of Camden, 2, and Jax, 13 months, peering out at the formation on the field. For the occasion, Camden dressed in a festive Bears-approved orange T-shirt, while his younger brother went neutral in gray.
Cavallari, 28, wrote in a blog post last year via her app that the “end of June through the end of July” is her favorite time of year. “We use those 4 weeks to relax and spend as much time together as possible,” she explained, “before [Jay] takes off for training camp and the football season begins.”
In a Twitter Q&A last week, Cavallari shared some insight on her high-profile marriage to the NFL hunk.
“We’re pretty boring and make dinner at home,” she dished. “But wait to eat until after the kids go to sleep so we can connect… Light candles and put phones away. Take a bath (doesn’t even have to be sexual..or it can!) but it’s all about talking and connecting since we’re both so busy and are always with the kids which makes it hard to have a real conversation until after [they’re] in bed.”
At a charity gala in May, Cavallari told Us Weekly that it’s been bittersweet to watch her boys grow up. “It flies by so quickly,” she mused. “It kind of makes me sad. But they’re both at such fun ages now. They’re able to start playing together a little bit now that Jax is 1. It’s really nice. I feel like we’re in a really good place. They’re both great kids. They’re just a lot of fun.”
Luckily, baby number three is on its way! Cavallari announced last month that she and her husband were expecting their third child together via her app. “We’re at it again!” she joked, alongside a bump pic. “Thrilled to announce baby number 3 is on the way! The cutler crew just keeps on growin’!”
The third Cavallari-Cutler child will have two amazing older siblings. “Camden is a really good big brother,” she gushed to Us. “He’s very protective and very sweet, But he also gets a little upset when Jax tries to take his toys and messes with his stuff. He gets a little territorial with some stuff, so it’s kind of funny.”
