Baby on the way. Although circumstances have been tough in 2015, Bobby Brown and his pregnant wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown took a moment to celebrate their baby shower this past weekend.
The R&B singer, 46, and his pregnant wife posted Instagram photos from their intimate bash held in the backyard of their Southern California home.
"Love……." Brown wrote, alongside one family snapshot with the couple's 5-year-old son Cassius. Front and center in the pic was Etheredge's bare baby bump, embellished with henna tattoos.
The proud future second-time mom also posted a close-up look at the designs lining her belly, including a tree dancing under the sun, and footprints marked alongside its roots. "#best day," Etheredge captioned the photo. "#beautiful #blessed #family #thankfulness #baby shower."
Brown also posted a pic of his wife surrounded by baby shower gifts inside their home. "My Lady and Baby," he boasted. This will be the second child for Etheredge, who shares little Cassius with Brown, and the sixth for her husband.
The family's celebratory occasion comes nearly five months after Bobbi Kristina Brown was found facedown and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Georgia home. The 22-year-old daughter of Brown and the late Whitney Houston has remained in a coma since Jan. 31.
Brown has since publicly battled with certain family members over Bobbi's care, as well as the music scion's boyfriend Nick Gordon, who continually attempts to see her in the hospital.
Just this past week, Gordon's attorney released a statement to Us Weekly, saying: "Despite his strong desire to see Bobbi Kristina, Nick has respected the families' wishes for over three months and has refrained from visiting or from pursuing access to her through the courts," the statement reads. "He has asked through counsel many times privately and now asks both the Browns and the Houstons, please let him see her."
Both Brown and Pat Houston were appointed co-guardians of Bobbi earlier this month. "We're a family that works together for the best," Cissy Houston told Entertainment Tonight in an interview. "You want the best for whomever or everybody we can."
