Is baby Dilly finally on his way? Jill Duggar's due date has passed, and her husband Derick Dillard shared a cryptic Bible verse about "the womb" on Friday, April 3, hinting that she was possibly in labor.
"'…The LORD called me from the womb," Dillard, 26, tweeted to his 76,000-plus followers. "'From the body of my mother he named my name.' Isaiah 49:1b."
The Duggars, whose devout Christian lifestyle is chronicled on their massively popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, frequently tweet verses to encourage their followers. Dillard's latest update could allude that the child was about to depart the womb — or not!
Jill, 23, is now more than one week past her due date. While she and her husband eagerly await the arrival of their first kid, Duggar last updated her social media pages on April 1, writing: "Getting some things done while anticipating the arrival of our little man any day! #babydilly."
That same day, her older brother Josh Duggar pulled an April Fools' Day prank, congratulating the couple on "the surprise birth" of their twins.
Duggar confirmed to Us Weekly last August that she was pregnant with her first child, an announcement she made 60 days after marrying Dillard.
"Believing that life begins at conception and that every life is precious no matter how young, we would — even if there were to be a miscarriage — we would still want that child to be recognized," she told Us at the time. "So it was something that we thought about and went forward with."
While the baby came as a shock to the couple, Duggar told Us that she was incredibly excited. "We prayed together, and thanked God for this new little life. I was screaming and everything," she recalled of finding out the news. "[Derick] was like, 'Don't get too excited! You might stress out the baby or something.' He's so cute. He's so sweet."
