Do-gooder duo! Lady Gaga and her new fiancé Taylor Kinney hit Park City, Utah this past weekend to attend a charity event.
The lovebirds took a romantic ski trip to the winter destination and participated in Operation Smile’s 2015 Annual Celebrity Ski & Smile Challenge presented by The Nerd Machine on Saturday, March 15. The Chicago Fire actor, 33, competed on the slopes against Olympic skiers and other celebs such as Scott Wolf, Retta, and Brooke Burke-Charvet.
Kinney’s future wife, 28, supported her longtime love as he sped down the course in his skis. The pop star herself did not enter the race, as sources tell Us Weekly that Gaga doesn’t know how to ski. Luckily though, she had the best gear out there from Volcom and Arnette snow googles. The couple also posed for photos together at the event’s VIP dinner, which took place at the picturesque Red Pine Lodge at The Canyons.
“Lady Gaga and Taylor were super affectionate,” a source tells Us. “She was wearing her gorgeous heart-shaped engagement ring and they both were very adoring of one another during the private dinner and reception.”
Gaga got completely into Operation Smile’s mission at the charitable event and pledged to make a six-figure donation. The organization, which is also supported by Jessica Simpson, Molly Sims, and Mariah Carey, among others, works to help children with cleft lips and palates by offering corrective surgeries across the globe.
“Taylor teared up during the video showing the medical surgeries for the children in need and the medical missions the ambassadors go on,” the insider adds. “[Gaga] had her hand on his back consoling him, it was very sweet.”
The Grammy winner, who accepted Kinney’s proposal on Valentine’s Day, looked gorgeous at the charitable event. She kept warm in an oversized light pink coat, paired with a black bodysuit and heels. Going glam with a dark smoky eye and her ombre locks in loose waves, Gaga sported her massive diamond engagement ring on her finger.
After dating for a little less than four years, Kinney popped the question with an eye-catching multi-carat heart-shaped engagement ring. “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!” the happy singer tweeted just days after the proposal. While they have yet to announce an official wedding date, the two stars will celebrated at their wedding by Gaga’s collaborator Tony Bennet, who spilled that he will sing at the nuptials.
