Baby genius, alert! Olivia Wilde opened up to the Today show on Thursday, Feb. 26, about her baby son Otis and what it was like shooting a horror movie while 8-months pregnant.
"If you look really closely you might be able to tell I’m like a little puffier," Wilde, 30, said of doing re-shoots for the film. "But it was really funny because the image of me with the lenses and the death makeup with this giant belly. It was like a whole different horror movie."
During her pregnancy, Wilde joked about her fuller body overall. "I'm like, double D, hello!" Wilde told Lucky in its May 2014 issue. "I've never been in this section of the bra store! I've been flat-chested my whole life, so it's a wonderful new world."
The Drinking Buddies star, who plays the creepy resurrected fiancee of Mark Duplass in The Lazarus Effect, revealed on the Today show that she also broke all the blood vessels in her face while shooting her latest flick. "It really was just fun letting all the rage out," Jason Sudeikis' love told Savannah Guthrie. "I've always wanted to play the scary part."
Wilde elaborated more to Us Weekly recently about her love of watching horror movies. "I get way into it and I’m just locked in it," she told Us. "I don’t think I yell and scream. I just internalize all the terror and take it with me, in the worst possible way. I’ve always been into it. I used to have a little horror fiction library in my bedroom when I was a kid… I had all the R.L. Stine [books]. I mean anything you know, Frankenstein, I had anything that freaked me out."
These days, the actress has been focusing on her 10-month-old son Otis, whom she welcomed with Sudeikis last spring. "He’s about to walk," the proud mom gushed. "He’s teetering and I just don’t want him to do it while I’m at work."
She continued: "He’s so smart and just plays his piano all day long. He’s really musical so we’re trying to encourage that."
