TMZ reported that the "Heart Attack" singer, 22, was taken to the emergency room at the Providence Tarzana Medical Center in Calif., due to trouble breathing. According to TMZ, which first reported the story, doctors determined that her issue was related to the flu. She is reportedly still hospitalized until she recovers.
Shortly after the news was revealed, Lovato fans — affectionately known as "Lovatics" — convened to make the topic #GetWellSoonDemi trend worldwide via Twitter.
According to TMZ, the timing of the health scare has been unfortunate as Lovato is currently recording her next studio album. The site said she was scheduled to work with a "big producer" on Tuesday when she was rushed to the ER.
While Lovato has yet to update her social media pages with the latest on her condition, the singer last shared a gorgeous selfie via Instagram in which she blew a kiss flaunting her bold red lips. "Snow White ain't got nothin' on me.." the former Disney star wrote, touting her makeup line Devonne by Demi.
