UPDATE: While The Hollywood Reporter says Melissa McCarthy has signed on for the film, her rep tells Us Weekly she too is still in negotiations.

YES! Melissa McCarthy has signed on for Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot. And in talks to join her are Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, who are all currently in negotiations for the film, Us Weekly has learned.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the remaining three ladies are expected to sign on soon to round out the foursome, who will take over the roles made famous by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. The reboot is expected to shoot in New York City this summer.
Feig came on board and decided on an entirely new take on the iconic film following original director Ivan Reitman backed out of a reboot after Ramis’ death in February 2014.
Although Bill Murray wasn’t on board for another movie, a source close to Feig tells Us the funnyman is being pursued to make a cameo in the upcoming all-female version.
McCarthy and Wiig previously worked with Feig on Bridesmaids. Jones joined Saturday Night Live last year, while McKinnon has been on SNL since 2012.
Following the news, Feig tweeted out a picture of all four women as well as the film's release date July 22, 2016.
