It’s been a year since Jennifer Lawrence debuted her asymmetrical pixie haircut via her Facebook page — and since then, the Hunger Games star has given quite the lesson in just how versatile a short hairstyle can be.
For the first few months as Lawrence, 24, enjoyed the freshness of the crop, she frequently switched up the styling. Case in point: Her tousled pixie at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere in November, a sleek take for the Golden Globes in January, and the blown-back waves she wore to the Oscars in March.
As she grows out her pixie into a wavy bob, the Oscar winner has even managed to sidestep that awkward in-between phase, thanks to an ever-changing portfolio of flattering styles.
There’s the sweet black headband she wore with her Dior gown to the world premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 in London Nov. 10 (bottom right). Then, days later on Nov. 13, she swept her hair into a half-up, half-down style with a side part (top right). Later that night, Lawrence added polish and volume for a bouffant take on the ‘do (bottom left). Lastly, on Nov. 17 for the L.A. premiere of the Games, she had a short-haired version of the French twist with wavy tendrils around her face (top left).
