Chelsea Handler is not a happy camper! The comedienne posted a topless photo of herself riding a horse on Instagram, Oct. 30, which the social media site promptly deleted. Handler, peeved with the platform's censorship of her photo, then went on a rant about gender inequality.
The initial pic uploaded by Handler, 39, was a split of her mimicking Russian president Vladimir Putin's infamous chest-baring, horseback-riding shot from Siberia in 2009. "Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better #kremlin," she captioned the post, which immediately went viral.
After Instagram deleted the image, the social platform sent a message to the Uganda Be Kidding Me comic.
Handler's retort? A screen grab of Instagram's note and a statement about gender inequality. "If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman?" she wrote. "Are we in 1825?"
The former Chelsea Lately host then took to another social media platform to share her boob-baring pic: Twitter. "Taking this down is sexist," Handler tweeted, alongside a screen grab of her Instagram update. "I have every right to show I have a better body than Putin."
She proceeded to upload the same photo again to Instagram, writing: "If instagram takes this down again, you're saying Vladimir Putin Has more 1st amendment rights than me. Talk to your bosses." Upon posting the photo, the site again deleted it.
