Rory and Lorelai Gilmore are heading back to Stars Hollow next month. News broke this week that the entire series of the beloved WB show Gilmore Girls will start streaming on Netflix on October 1.
Starring Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham, Melissa McCarthy, and Scott Patterson, among others, Gilmore Girls originally aired from October 2000 to May 2007, but has been elusive on streaming platforms in recent years.
The Emmy-winning show starred Graham as Lorelai, a single mother raising her bookish, whip-smart teenage daughter Rory (Bledel). The seven seasons followed Lorelai in her career, romantic life, and relationship with her wealthy parents, while Rory is seen dating, preparing for college, and striking out on her own.
While Gilmore Girls boasted a solid main cast, the show also played host to a bevy of guest stars — some more recognized than others. Below, nine famous faces even the most loyal fans might forget were on Gilmore Girls.
Nasim Pedrad
Earning her third ever acting credit, the Saturday Night Live star appeared on one episode of Gilmore Girls in February 2006. Pedrad played a waitress in the episode titled “Bridesmaids Revisited,” serving a distraught and intoxicated Rory.
Long before he was Schmidt on New Girl, Greenfield booked one of his first roles with a small part on Gilmore Girls. He played Lucas in the October 2003 “Chicken or Beef?” episode, joining Rory’s ex-boyfriend Dean for his bachelor party.
Ben Falcone
The husband to Gilmore Girls star Melissa McCarthy, Falcone made an appearance in the show two years before he and McCarthy tied the knot. He played Mr. Brink in May 2003’s “Say Goodnight, Gracie” episode, attending the funeral of Fran Weston with Lorelai and Sookie.
The future Nickelodeon star got her very first acting credit for Gilmore Girls, appearing on the show when she was just 10 years old. Justice played a character identified as Jill #2 in the October 2003 episode “The Hobbit, the Sofa, and Digger Stiles.” She plays a young girl at a children’s party, which Lorelai and Sookie agree to cater.
Colin Egglesfield
Before he starred in The Client List and Rizzoli & Isles, Egglesfield was seen in the Gilmore Girls episode “Girls in Bikinis, Boys Doin’ the Twist” in April 2004. He played Sean, a man Rory and Paris Geller (Liza Weil) encounter while on spring break.
Glee star Jane Lynch was on Gilmore Girls in December 2000, playing a nurse in the “Forgiveness and Stuff” episode. She is seen at the hospital where Lorelai’s father Richard Gilmore (Edward Herrmann) is being treated after he suffers a heart attack.
Nick Offerman
The Parks and Recreation star was on two episodes of Gilmore Girls: November 2003’s “The Festival of Living Art” and October 2005’s “Always a Godmother, Never a God.” He made a repeat appearance as the hilarious Beau Belleville, Sookie’s bizarre brother-in-law.
Seth MacFarlane
MacFarlane made appearances in “Lorelai’s Graduation Day” in May 2002 and “I Solemnly Swear” in January 2003, playing Zach, Lorelai’s business school classmate, and Bob Merriam, Emily Gilmore’s lawyer, respectively.
Krysten Ritter
The Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 actress appeared in a handful of episodes of Gilmore Girls between 2006 and 2007. She played the hip, theatrical Lucy, a girl whom Rory becomes friends with while at Yale.
